FAMILY TRIBUTE
The name "Meier" is embedded in concrete construction in Southern California since the 1960s. Three generations of contractors have been providing Los Angeles and San Diego County with foundations for their communities for over 50 years. Beginning with Andrew Meier II, also known as "Papa" within the Meier family and friends, his wife Jean Ellen Meier and his brothers Virgil, Bernard, Anton, John, Matthew, Nicholas and Leonard Meier... the Meiers were early pioneers of structural concrete suspended slabs and post-tension reinforcing in Southern California during the 60s and 70s.
In the 1990's, Papa's children and nephews - Michael, Andrew III, Lawrence, David and Rory - would later continue the family legacy and create their own company.
So, in 2017 when Papa's grandson Marco Meier founded Meier Concrete, he named his company in their memory.
